Doing this for 1-2 hours every day my last two weeks put me in a really good headspace.Īt the end of the week, I took nbme 20 (253) and UW2 (258), and 2 days before my test I got 87% on the Free 120. Go outside in the fresh air and listen to them!! Take a walk, get some sun, work out. I had listened to the other organ system blocks previously. Over the next week, I focused on my UW incorrects and marked (highly recommend leaving time to do these!!) and listened to the following Goljan lectures: Cell Injury and Inflammation, Fluid and Hemodynamics, Nutrition, Neoplasia, Hem pt 1 and pt 2. Even though my goal for Step 1 was always only 235+, NBME 18 was really disappointing because my UW %s had gone up significantly and I felt like I had learned a ton (I didn't realize until later that the curve on 18 is pretty harsh). Over 6 weeks, I took NBMEs 21-24 + 18 (two weeks out) and was totally stagnant at 227-234. I started at a 217 baseline CBSE pre-dedicated. I don't have much to add to all the write ups today, but I just wanted to offer some thoughts + a quick recommendation for Goljan's audio lectures.
